Didn't know what to expect as we've never been to this area. Late March is nice, cold enough to snuggle at night, warm enough for shorts by day. Pleasantly surprised by the Sandhill crane migration--what a spectacle! My phone isn't good enough for long distance shots, but their cacophony and numbers are impressive. It's high desert and the sagebrush has that wonderful perfume when you rub it between your fingers. The best part of the campground: HEATED BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS! You don't have to shiver and hurry when you're taking care of business. The only downside was no water at our "full hookups" trailer site. Must be a winter thing. Had to fill up our tank at the entrance. No big deal, just don't repeat our mistake and unhook from your rig and set your jacks down until you verify power sewer and water. Oh, and the trailer sites are nicely arranged in big circles. Makes it easy to back up into your site.
