This is a great campground area if you're planning on staying in the park. There is a small convenience store where you can buy some food/camping supplies, as well as a dump station and potable water for filling up trailers and RVs.
The bathrooms were well kept and clean, and there is a dish washing station at each bathroom for your convenience, since you can't wash just anywhere as the smell could attract wildlife. There is also a bear box at each site to store food and order things in.
Madison is about a 20-30 minute drive to Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin, as well as Norris Geyser Basin in the opposite direction. It's a great location for exploring the park.
