Did the Danville Glades Trail (~3 mile loop, converted old road, about half and half forest/grassland) late morning on a Sunday in late June. Nice place to check out wildflowers, but the dense vegetation crowded out views of the surrounding hillside. We and one other party were the only ones there. Primitive campsites at the parking lots looked nice, and the trails and roads were well-maintained. Watch out for the steep gravel road going down to the Danville Glades trailhead, might be a bit tricky in wet weather. Probably not a destination-worthy hiking trail, but the area as a whole may be decent for hunting or camping. I look forward to checking it out in fall/winter.
