I hate writing bad reviews, but this needs to be said. Disclaimer: I stayed in Alex's Cabin and not the main campground. I can't speak much to the main experience.

First off, cell service is virtualIy non-existent for miles around the area. Save your maps to your GPS for offline use. We arrived on a Saturday evening to check in. All reservations are done on paper, and the camp office didn't have my reservation, but Akers Ferry did (same company). However, the office didn't have the key to the cabin I rented...just a key ring with both the cabin key AND the universal key to the office. Not knowing which was which, we were told to swap keys in the morning (Sunday) with the customer key, as we were told we would be picked up for a float trip at the office in the morning. Come Sunday...the office was closed, all day as far as I could tell. Oh, and the float trip pickup never came...we drove to Akers Ferry office to be told there is no Sunday pickup, despite the reservation receipt saying otherwise. With no cell service, I couldn't just call someone of course. Akers Ferry came through with another pickup bus to get us on the river, but that's not how you run a business.

Came back to the campground after the float to try and trade the keys. Still closed, nobody there. The pool was unlocked so I check it out. The pool area is a mess. Not from stuff everywhere, but just disrepair. There is a wooden part of the pool deck that probably hasn't been repaired in 20 years: no finish or paint, wood coming up and nails popping out (head side, not the pointy one). The pool water is clean enough, but the pool itself needs serious TLC. Yikes. I should also mention that the camp store probably hasn't been restocked in years either.

The cabin is liveable, but rough. The beds were made, but the sheets clearly not washed. Pull back the covers to reveal sand and hair still there. There is clear evidence of mice in there: holes in the floorboards, droppings in cabinets. Never saw one though. It's bound to happen that close to the woods, I get it. But at least *attempt* to mitigate it. The pots and pans are awful, bring your own for sure, as well as sheets. They only tell you that there aren't towels and cookware is hit or miss...bring it all. There isn't a cutting board or worthy knife to be found. The oven door can't even be opened because of stupid placement. The charcoal grill is... probably adequate. The bed is comically uncomfortable. Any motion you make WILL be transferred to your partner. On the bright side: at least the AC works.

On departure day on Monday...guess what? Camp office is still closed. Can't even turn my keys in. Could I have used my office key to get in? Probably! But I didn't try. I turned my keys into Akers Ferry and didn't look back. How are these guys still in business? They need to quit while they're almost treading water. I survived, but the place as a whole is falling apart.
