This is a great take out spot! It’s easy to see, on the right, from the River…there is plenty of room, for you and multiple kayaks to get out at once, and the parking is close! Only thing, the locals tell you to look for a rope swing, and then you will know you are there. My friend, and I, never saw the rope swing. Some other people pointed to it, for us, but still, nope. So, it is an underwhelming rope swing. Ha! And from Turner Mill to Whitten, they say is 3 miles on the river…ehhh…I don’t know about that. Both times I have done it, it has seemed like the longest trek. It feels like 5 miles minimum, and it is some paddling, to keep you at a decent pace…at this point…Last 2 miles, especially at dusk, watch out for the horseflies. They will swarm you! Especially here for some reason. (Or maybe it just felt like that lol) Getting off Eleven Point to here, as our midway point, and then we put back in at Whitten, to go the rest of the way to Riverton. This was a great break spot on our 26 mile run down Eleven Point, it couldn’t have gone smoother.
