Convenient location next to the highway and large, beautiful sites for camping. There is some traffic noise, but we had no trouble sleeping. Vault toilets were clean.
Other than the campground loop and a paved trail, there are no trails we found from the campground. Most of the Bird Point attractions would involve getting in the car or using a better map than we had and finding a way to walk.
Fun fact: If you hear a train horn, you have about two minutes to get as close as you can to see the train go through.
