Wonderful experience. The owners are friendly and helpful. Also, at the bar & grill. Tasty food there. The cabins are nice and have 3 queen size beds. Beautiful view of the river from the front porch of the cabins!
By the way, after looking at a few other reviews, I felt the need to further explain my experience there:
There is NOT any fee for parking & eating at the restaurant/bar & grill.
If you bring your own canoe/kayak, the fee is for taking you & your boat up river for the short float, or picking you up that evening on the long float.
I even called ahead, to check on the river level several times before I was able to make the trip down. Karen helped me & told me how the river was running (high/ low/ just right etc).
My second trip down, I knew I would arrive after Don had left the bar & grill. I called down there, Don communicated with Karen, and they left the key to my cabin for me.
They are kind, helpful & wonderful people who make you feel welcome.
The food at the bar & grill is amazing. They will even pack you a sac lunch for your float trip. They run specials that are off menu, also. The back porch of the bar is up high and overlooks the river and gives you a beautiful view of the twin bridges over the river.
The shop next door has about anything you could ask for. They even have water shoes for sale. They have beer, ice, some food items, dry bags for the float etc.
The cabins are clean and rustic looking. There is a shower & toilet in the cabins. They do provide a comforter/ quilt & two pillows for each bed. However, you need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and bath towels. There is a microwave, mini fridge, and small set of table & chairs in each cabin. There is a big building with 3 bathroom stalls and 3 shower stalls for the campers.
