This is an excellent state park with numerous facilities to ensure an active and fun filled escape from your everyday routine. The park staff is friendly and helpful and the maintenance personnel are out early and often to keep everything in good shape and clean.
Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, archery, bike riding, boating, paddle boarding and enjoying nature and the fresh air are all readily available. There are a variety of campsites available for RV’s and separately for tent campers both near the lake and further away for more solitude.
The campsites are fairly large and well arranged for setting up a comfortable camp. Unfortunately, there is not sufficient foliage between the sites to provide a noise buffer. So you can easily hear the activities of your nearby neighbors if they happen to be a bit noisy.
