This is just for the CR State Park Campground, not the park itself.
We visited the first week in July and the mosquitos were so unbearable at the site, we ended up leaving and getting a hotel room-not blaming the campground for this.
The campground itself was not what we expected. The sites were very small compared to other state park campgrounds, our site was 34 and had we stayed, would have not fit both our tents comfortably.
The sites were also very close together and the fire pit was placed so close to the next campsite that it would have been challenging to fit more than two chairs around it.
If you are looking to set up a simple camp and spend all but sleeping time at the site, this might be a good location.
Otherwise, if you intend on having a peaceful fire at night or relaxing at the campground for some portion of the trip, I would not recommend.
Great location to lots of hiking and Lake Superior but would stay at other campgrounds.
This site is alright across from the shower house and the lights and sounds are noticeable.
