My family has stayed at Tall Timbers twice. The first time we really had a great time. So we booked another stay for 6 nights. On the 4th night we had a severe thunderstorm, our site was completely ruined and underwater the next morning. I went to talk to the management the next morning. It was obvious we couldn’t remain where we were. The woman was very rude to me and only said” everyone is flooded we will not refund the last 2 days”. Several items from the pond that the kids play on had blown into our campsite and knocked over our things and hit our vehicle. We received no apologies, nor were we offered a different site in lieu of a reimbursement. We had to let them know there beach stuff was in the way of us pulling our rv. everywhere you looked was a mess and yet every time you seen the staff, they were sitting and talking, sitting on their golf carts and watching everyone try and pick up and clean up the mess the storm left. Probably the laziest staff that we have ever encountered on a campground for sure the least helpful not to mention the showers are very inadequate, either freezing cold or hot and the other ones on the other end you have to hold the nozzle down it won’t stay and it is either freezing, cold or hot, if you were looking for cheerful clean campgrounds, I recommend the KOA’s we won’t ever be back to Tall Timbers . We encountered a pretty severe last year while we stayed at Mohican and the next morning the Camp Ground managers were coming and checking on everyone asking if they could move sites or reimburse us because everyone again was washed out due to a storm very friendly very helpful even helped us Move things they had been damaged due to rain so it is possible to be courteous and helpful and still run a business
