Overall experience was a 4. There were some areas that were not so great, but other areas were amazing.
Campsite: Overnight camping does not seem to be their top priority. The sites were small and not well kempt. The sites that look like a standard pull through are actually back in for 2 campers. Making for short and narrow sites. The water is also far from some of the sites. We had to put a hose extension on to make it reach, which we have never had to do before.
Bath house: They were clean and provided privacy and space. However, they were very hot and smelled a bit of sewer. The shower water was hot. The bathhouse nearer the pool, pond, and activities was nicer.
Activities: This is where they shine. The swimming pond is amazing. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was present to maintain the rules. There was plenty of seating, and the beach area was great. The pool was also very clean and well maintained. There wasn't anything extra at the pool, but it was nice for a cool dip and relaxation. The putt putt was a little run down, but the kids liked it. The only issue was the lack of balls. One day, there were about 6 total, and the next, it was down to three. Shuffle board, horseshoes, a park, and an inflatable jump pillow were also available. They had planned activities for the kids, including a nice hay ride. There was also a band and food truck on Saturday.
Staff: They were nice enough. I didn't feel like they cared too much about customer service, mostly just getting the job done.
Fishing pond: See the pictures 🤔
Major issue: There is a major lack of lighting. The path to the bathhouse from overnight camping sites is not lite. It was very dark at night, and the sidewalk is not even at all. Also, there is no lighting in the park at night, making it almost impossible to use after dark.
