Stayed here for an extended weekend of ATV and family time. Overall a good experience. Reservation and check in was a little unorthodox, but for sure the owner had my reservation and was there right when we arrived.
They look to be in the process of expanding or improving the grounds. There are new sites going in and looks like new well system. I believe that most if not all of the sites are electric and water sites. I didn't see any full hookup. New well system led to some very high iron water, I suggest coming in with a full water tank to avoid stained fixtures. I didn't see any showers on site.
Owner and other permanent site occupants were very friendly. Dog friendly grounds, no issues whatsoever, the girls loved playing with all the dogs.
Firewood can be brought in locally. We purchased from a stand on 141 just north of Town Corner Lake Rd. Look for the Sat dish with Wisconsin teams painted on it. There was also a stand on Trout Haven on the way to / from the trails. Could stop there on the way back to the site.
This campground is about 6mi (paved) from the ATV route, it will put you onto the trail system at 12 foots falls on North 5 on the map. I suggest using a north route, French Rd north, left turn on Gehling / Trout Haven. Straight until you hit the trails.
If your looking for hiking and waterfalls this is a good bet too. We walked and saw 4 different falls over the weekend and could have done more.
