Stayed our first time here with some family who stayed previously. The campground is laid out great with spacious tent sites. Water and electricity are also available. Camp store sells firewood at a reasonable price. Small bags of ice are $5 each which is high. Bathrooms are better than outhouses in that they have flush toilets. It would be nice if they had a way to indicate the toilet was occupied so people do not yank on the door while someone is sitting on the toilet only to discover it is locked and in use. As a result of the continuous yanking on the door, the hook and eye lock broke when the wood was too damaged to hold it any longer. I grabbed my multi tool and reinstalled the hook and eyelet where the wood was still intact to fix the problem. Our second night nearly all spaces were full. Quiet time is supposed to be 11 pm but some raucous people continued loud conversation until well past quiet time. I did not find it too distracting realizing it was a holiday weekend. The fire rings worked very well too. The most peculiar part of our stay has to be the showers. There are just 2 for the entire campgound and they require the use of purchased tokens. Each token provided 3 minutes of water. It sort of reminded me of a carwash and I was disappointed to see there was no foaming brush, final rinse and wax setting 🙂. Nonetheless I was able to complete my shower in 2 tokens and could have made it in 1 if I really tried. Overall we loved our stay and will return again.
