We stayed on site 31 over the 4th of July. The site was PERFECT. It had plenty of shade and having a beach right on our site was heaven!! I don’t think I’d stay here again if we couldn’t get a lakefront site. This is because the rest of the sites have no trees, and the campground beach is very small and crowded. My biggest complaint was that there wasn’t really a playground- just a volleyball area and a set of swings in an area without trees, so it’s just too hot to use. Also, like many state parks it can be a tight squeeze to back in if you have a bigger rig. Other than that it was great. The trails are nice. The sunsets couldn’t get any better. The camp store donuts are AMAZING. Make sure you grab them before they run out!! If you’re in the area check out Ocqueoc Falls. It’s about a 30 minute drive but sooo worth it.
