This was our second TT experience. It's a lovely and quiet park, and it was fun to explore the cave. The staff was pleasant. We were happy to not see any mosquitos. While we mostly enjoyed our stay, it wasn't completely ideal. Here's the issues we had at Bear Cave:
-You have to go down a narrow dirt road to get to the park, which could be an issue if anyone else is also on that road when you're pulling a rig.
-Dirty bathroom/shower house (photos attached).
The bathroom trash was emptied once during the 13 days we stayed. The bathrooms were never cleaned, even though I saw a woman "mopping" the perpetually dirty floors the Friday before Labor Day. I didn't get any pics, but the showers have issues with mold on the cinder block walls.
-Sites are close together and trees are not in ideal spots, making it hard to maneuver with a big rig and your neighbors are crazy close.
-Not many full hook up sites and you don't get one unless you stalk them 24/7, apparently.
-Not a lot of 50 amp sites.
