We came for a hike, first time here. If you are looking for camping, this is a great place! However, if you are coming for hiking, you have to venture quite a ways from the park to get away from infrastructure, noise, and debris. The park is uniquely situated between Muskallonge lake and Lake Superior, it is a beautiful area. The park also is amidst the North Country National Scenic Trail, the hiking route of the Iron Belle Trail, and the Lake Superior East Water Trail. So plenty of good hiking, just not the loop around the campground.
