If you're considering camping here, please read this:

This is remote camping in a WILDERNESS area and you'll have to be prepared for all that comes with it. You start with a 2 mile hike through dirt and sand. There are no bathrooms, so be prepared to dig a hole in the ground. There is no water, so be prepared to filter drinking water from Lake Michigan. You'll have to carry all food out and any trash back as it's not a quick trip back to the parking spot. And you'll have to be ready to deal with the bugs. There are tons of black flies that will swarm around you and you'll wake up to spiders on your tent.

Despite all this, it is still a popular camping spot, so be prepared to have neighbors and noise. It is a nice area to camp, but it will have the downside of camping with neighbors but without the upside of actual camp amenities. If you're looking for an easy and comfortable place to camp, this is not it. And if you're looking for peace and quiet away from the world, this is also not it.
