Several years ago, I made a reservation for a solo road trip I was taking to the UP. I thought I was staying at the actual Falls park, so I was shocked when they told me my campground was 15 miles away. Doesn't matter because when I found my reserved spot, it was breathtaking. Along the banks Tahquamenon River, near where the river flows into Lake Superior, this is beautiful. Matter of fact we have been going as a group now for 2 years.
Lastly, bring your kayak to drop in, rockhounding gear and a camera!
