We spent just under a year here. Average RV park, staff are friendly and they keep the pool clean. Also enjoy the fact that they schedule activities for the kids (it’s so hard with the infestation of 55+ parks in Florida to find family friendly campgrounds). However three big negatives that you should know about this place before considering your stay here. 1) ROACHES. We were full time RV’ers for 6 years and always keep our rig clean. We’ve been in dozens of RV parks and campgrounds across the country, about 37 states, and never had a problem. However after staying here, small German roaches infested us, and we were even in the “deluxe” side of the park away from the long term residents. I regularly sprayed and kept the grass trimmed around our site but to no avail. 2) The park went from being locally owned to corporate ownership and things went downhill in a few areas... Which leads to number 3) We paid an extra $100 per month for high speed internet access which worked up until the last 3 months. I sent an email beginning of July in addition to speaking with the staff in person. All they offered to do was keep switching out our modems, which did nothing. Their internet technician (whom I’ve actually met when I was an RV resort manager for a bit) lives out of state and they couldn’t tell me if/when he was coming. Understandable since RV parks have to have special equipment, but when the second month of no action went by, I asked to have my monthly bill adjusted and to be credited for the prior time I paid for non-existent internet. Here is where the corporate thing comes in… I was told in definitive terms the corporate office would NOT approve monthly fee adjustments or refunds. Their attitude was that of “sorry not sorry” and offered no options to address this. We were planning on moving on in December but due to these issues decided to leave at the end of September. I am not advising anyone to not stay here, but just wanted potential campers to be aware of my own experience and what you may run into. If the campground/corporate staff reads this and would like to change their mind about their policies, they can reach out to me to work out a $300 refund for our internet trouble; I will gladly amend this review if that is addressed.
