Park is quiet and well kept, and the beaches and fishing pier are amazing! The beach on Chippewa, especially, is great for kids as it's shallow even past the buoy markers. Campsites 14 and 15, while they have no electric, are huge and separate from the main campground area, and almost directly between the bath house and the beaches. Perfect location for a small group outing. Campsites have fire rings with grill grates (a little old but useable), picnic tables, and poles for hanging gear or garbage up off the ground. Critters abound - we saw woodpeckers, loons, chipmunks, raccoons, herons, fish, and a variety of small birds. Only small warning is that the bathrooms use composting toilets so there is occasionally a smell when they vent. Overall, would definitely recommend giving Chippewa Park a shot, especially for beginner campers!
