Short answer: nice campground, but not so nice if you have loud and inconsiderate neighbors

Long answer:

The campground is nice. Good tree cover. The RV spots are really nice size and the fire rings are great. It had rained a lot before we arrived and our site was not muddy at all due to the pea gravel which made great drainage. The bathroom was very clean, which is always nice to find at a campground. They have free showers for campers as well, although I did not try them, so I don't know how the hot water and water pressure is. If you buy firewood, they deliver it to your campsite directly, which was a great perk as I didn't have to lug my own.

My only complaint is that there is nobody going around to enforce quiet time at 10pm. There are signs about it on the campground rules but it doesn't appear that it is enforced in any way. There was one camping group right by us that was drinking and partying very loudly, and someone in their group played an acoustic guitar (badly) and sang (horribly) for two hours (9:30pm - 11:30pm). Maybe it is because I typically camp in state parks where a park ranger will go around and enforce quiet, and this is normal of the broader camping experience?... But this was upsetting to myself and our group who were just trying to chat quietly around the fire. We tried leaving our campsite and going up to a table near the bathroom/park area but you could hear them still that far away, and it was cold without a fire.

So why, dear reader, did we not just tell them to be quiet at 10? I was nervous about a drunken altercation because earlier in the evening someone had driven their car into a neighboring camp site and the headlights must have shined into the party campsite before the car was turned off, and they acted way more offended and upset than any reasonable person would. I thought there was going to be a physical fight.

I tried calling the campground phone number but as office hours closed at 9pm, there was no answer. I ran into one of the party in the bathroom and asked her to please ask her group to be quieter but she didn't. Someone from another area of the campground yelled "shut the f up" which I clearly heard, but they didn't. I finally went over there and asked them to be quiet myself at 11:30pm. (There was some arguing before they did agree to put the guitar away, and thankfully no one tried to fight me.) Why have a quiet time rule if nobody is around to enforce it?
