Indian Creek Campground: August 2022. We really enjoyed the beautiful prairie hills, and the huge expanse of Fish-filled water. It was so quiet, so peaceful. Staff was very approachable, and friendly, and quite helpful. Signage was great, and the roads are wide, and clear for taller rigs. Sites are widely spaced, mowed, many if not most, with views of the gorgeous Missouri River. Saw Bald eagles, tree swallows, barn swallows, a flicker, common goldfinches, Robin's, a turkey buzzard, mourning doves, & lots of seagulls, ducks, and canadian geese, and cormorants, and more! Lots of LBB'S! Felt very safe, and was kept up very well. Out-of-State fee was $7.70, and transaction fee was $8.00. We rented a rustic cabin: with A/c, heater, and electric with sleeping for 4 adults, picnic table, trash bin, and deck for $67.00, plus the $8.00. Not cheap, but we needed a night in a real bed! lol. They have pit toilets, and facilities with showers, and toilets. there is a marina sort of in the campground, with a little store, and cafe? did not go there, but they also have cabins, less rustic apparently. Quite a pleasant experience. Boating and fishing are huge here, and there is plenty of boating room on this extremely large dammed lake. A definite place to visit regularly!
