I would give it a 4 star. But to out-way all the negativity i give a five.
This is a true camp ground! Yes its is old but it is rustic and authentic. Dirt and stone roads, lots of trees. Old school playground with a sand pit.
We stayed in site 108D. We have a 18’x12’ tent and the site was spacious enough for us. (Family of 4+ a 75lb dog). The lake swimming area was small, but it was clean.
The only issue we have is the bath houses. As though from previous reviews, it looks like they have replaced all the toilets recently. But overall the bath houses need to be updated in our five days. Stay there. I personally saw them clean both houses three times. Seems like every morning around 8-9. So they are clean. They’re just very old and falling apart. There is free laundry on the backside of both bathhouses.
The camp store is much to be desired not much items to choose from but if you’re camping, you should have everything you need anyway.
I have been camping my entire life, new campgrounds, old campgrounds, state parks. This is one of the few true campgrounds around.
