Beautiful scenery,informative and just an all around nice quiet place to visit. The signs they have on the history are really cool and worth taking the time to read. We downloaded(or texted I can't recall.)the app.(it's given on a couple different signs.) It was worth doing.
The tunnel is worth walking thru and checking it out. It's amazing that they were able 2 build it using the man power and tools they had back then.The architecture is outstanding.Make sure u take a flashlight,wear your walking shoes and bring a light jacket if u are going in the Summer months.(it is cooler due 2 the plant life & shade.)
We saw a bunch of wildlife on our walk to the tunnel. I think every inch of the toepath is beautiful. To think that donkeys use 2 pull boats down it and the amount of ppl that have walked the same path u are for 100+ yrs.is so neat.
