I had chosen to stay here for a night while on the road with my son (9 mth old) and husband. We chose this place to stay because of location off the highway and very good reviews on Google, but, unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We stayed in the Lupine Cottage which was advised on the website to be best for families and it was a good size for us, however that was probably the best of it. When we arrived there was a constant beeping noise coming from the fire alarm. The futon and chair in the living room were covered in white dog hair and smelled off. It was obvious they had not been vacuumed. The same white dog hair was all over the bedroom and it could be seen under the bed which also had not been vacuumed for sometime. After letting my son crawl around on the floor and couch he was absolutely covered in this fur. There was a large spider that crawled across my pillow and another bug that flew at my husband while in bed. I had read on the website that there was a hot breakfast which also factored into our decision-making to stay there, but we learned upon arrival that the restaurant was closed and so we just had a few breakfast things left for us in the fridge. It would have been nice to have been advised of this in advance and we would have planned our meals differently. All in all, it was not a restful night's sleep. I know we were visiting in the off season, but I was definitely disappointed in this stay.
