Gray Ghost Camps is a nice cottage experience. It spans a few hundred feet of waterfront, a couple of boat launches, plenty of slips on several docks. The swimming is great. However, the river current can be a bit overwhelming if you leave the shore and swim for the swimming raft (with slide and diving board).
We were there in late July, and the fishing was disappointing. My son probably spent 20+ hours fishing from shore and only caught a few chub and one smallmouth bass (decent, 2-3 lb).
Free to use are a variety of decent kayaks, some canoes and a couple of stand up paddle boards, which are in rough shape (one missing fins, both taking on water). Plenty of life jackets of all sizes.
Firepits riverside. Nice hardwood mill scrap firewood for sale for reasonable fee. Steve and Amy were always available by text to answer questions.
Overall, a great experience.
