The moose tour was awesome! We had to drive 2 hours in the fog and drizzle, but got there early (0545 hrs.). Three people did not show, but our guide called them and waited an extra 15 minutes. Most businesses would not have waited, and those people better not complain! I was so excited for the tour that I did not catch our guide's name, but she was originally from California. She was very informative and interesting. Not to mention her driving skills on those crazy logging roads!!!
The adventure part is actually looking for a moose. We got to see a fox jumping around, catching prey. Then we got to a pond, walked to the edge, and stumbled upon a moose eating!! Holy cow, literally! She was beautiful and only a few feet away. The guide backed us up and showed us city kids from Toledo, Ohio, how to be respectful. The cow walked in front of us and up into the woods. What a high!
I know moose are elusive, and they tell you not to expect to see any but what luck!
Thanks for the tour, the brownie, and the coffee it was fun with a moose on top.
