The campsites have all been upgraded with pea gravel, and a few are fully paved. Every site has a new power pedestal and sewer hookup, which is rare for a state park campground.

The only negative is that they lost a lot of tree cover due to hurricane Michael and there is very little shade. It will take some time for the newly planted trees to mature.

The water in the Blue Hole spring is also not blue, but brown. Maybe another effect of Michael. It is refreshing though, especially when the heat index was over 100 degrees during our stay.

Definitely make time for the cave tour!
