My husband and I recently spent a long weekend with two other couples in the adults only glamping tent section. The tents were adorable, amenities clean and sites nicely set up. The first two nights were perfect. It was the weekend so the campground was filled with people, activities and noise. All of which is to be expected at a campground. People who are looking for seclusion and absolute quiet shouldn’t be camping in a resort style campground. (Like Sandy Pines)

The third night, Sunday is when we had an issue. We’re seasoned campers with realistic expectations. We’re mindful of quiet hours and campground rules. With that being said after being out all day exploring we all sat down to chat around campfire. Six adults talking, no alcohol or music playing just discussing the drive home early the next morning. At 9pm the campground manger/ranger drove up to our site and said there had been a noise complaint. After questioning the time, it was 9:05 the ranger said we still had another hour before quiet time but noise travels? We were so surprised someone in the group suggested maybe he had the wrong site. The Rangers friendly attitude immediately changed. He was rude. We wrapped up our trip and decided this isn’t a place we will be visiting again. It’s unfortunate that our trip ended on a sour note and ruined the overall experience.
