Nice primitive campsite. More shade than Carpenter Camp but still quite warm on a sunny day. I visited in mid-March deep into the dry season and the only water was in a gator hole behind the camp and was bright green in color… you could filter it if you had to but not ideal. The camping area itself is fairly deep with a number of nice spots to pitch a tent. There was a bear hang set up in a tree but it was maybe 8 feet high… maybe the Big Cypress bears are on the short side?
