I spent my birthday here this year. It was a bit crowded, on a Wednesday, but it was still a pleasant experience. The river was my favorite part, and the most beautiful! It was fun. I image that when the park is less crowded it’s extremely peaceful too. If you’re curious to check out the trails, then I’d recommend visiting on a cooler day, because you’ll get hot, fast! The water was refreshing though.
I was also surprised and happy that the park has a vegan/vegetarian option on their food menu. I got the veggie burger with fries. It was decent for park food.
Overall Kelly Park is a fun, family spot.
