Would not recommend this campground unless you have an ATV and don’t mind constant noise, reckless driving, and no safety measures. Monday through Thursday this campground is fairly quiet and unassuming, but starting Thursday evening and into the weekend it becomes an overcrowded, noisy, unsafe atmosphere with the overabundance of ATVs being hauled in – both by those staying at the campground, and those just coming in for the day to utilize the adjoining acreage specifically for the ATVs.

In hindsight, we definitely should have paid closer attention to the reviews that mentioned ATV usage – that’s on us. But what was not mentioned was the amount of traffic and what a cluster it was – too many people all racing recklessly around on ATVs in the roadways – not just keeping to the area intended for the atv trails. We witnessed age inappropriate riders - kids between 8-12 riding/driving inappropriately sized ATVs and not being in control of them or racing far above the 9.5 mph speed limit. We witnessed a kid plowing into a tree with a golf cart and two other incidences of ATVs crashing into each other on the roads in the campground. There are “rules and guidelines” listed regarding speed limits and excessive noise and loud ATVs, but they are definitely not enforced. Office closes up at 5 pm basically and staff does not seem to be around after that, phone goes unanswered or goes to VM (if there is room) whenever you call. There are absolutely no safety measures in place for the riders – helmets for kids are not required, nor did any parent really seem to care as the kids were usually riding off by themselves.

That being said, the campground itself “could” be a nice campground with proper upkeep. But the roads are sand/dirt and with all the racing around, everything inside and out is covered with dust. This is definitely a campground utilized for the locals to come and play on weekends – so if that isn’t your thing, then I would steer clear.
