Big fan of this campground, one of the fanciest around, and obviously the convenience of being on-property at Disney can't be beat. It is as expensive as camping gets but this is the least expensive way to get the benefits of staying on-property (Disney transportation, early entry, early access to book individual Lightening Lane reservations, etc). We came here during the height of the pandemic (April 2021) and stayed on the campground property most of the trip (we did not visit a theme park). It was a budget way to experience some of the Disney magic without the extraordinary cost of admission to the park. The water slide and pool area were a big hit for our (then) 4 and 8 year-olds. A cast member overheard us lamenting that we couldn't go to the parks and a bit later stopped by our campsite with toys and notes from Goofy and Minnie for the kids. This is the kind of thing that only happens at Disney!
We booked a week-long spring break trip this year and have been saving to hit the parks this time. One thing we plan to try (wasn't available on our last visit) is the Minnie Van service where they pick you up at your campsite and take you directly to the Magic Kingdom entrance. Will update this review on that and any other details from our trip later in 2024..
Can't wait to return to Fort Wilderness!
