I booked a campsite starting on a Friday and due to a plane delay wound up at the park after dark around 6 PM. The roads leading there are poorly maintained, sketchy, and have no light. Neither does the park. If there was any kind of ranger station, I didn't see it in the dark. I found my campsite which appeared to be one of three which had a large pagoda built on top of a large concrete square. On a Friday with ideal camping weather, no one was there besides me in the other sites. This appeared to be the tent pad as the surrounding area was grass loaded with fallen branches and other vegetation that wasn't cleared. As there's no way to drive stakes through concrete and my guylines would not stretch across the large square, not sure what kind of tent this was designed for. There were some buildings nearby the campsites which I assume maybe had bathrooms but again it was pitch black at 6:00 with no light and I did not go explore. I pondered for a bit whether I could make this work somehow with my tent and then decided to abort. Not only did it not seem to be a good place for tents, I intended to be driving in and out driving around to see the island during the day. Besides exploring the park and navigating those roads over and over was not appealing at all. This may be a good park to hike in, but I would not recommend it to camp, especially for more than an overnight stay. Given no one else was there it seems others agree.
