Overall this is an excellent campsite within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Campsites 1-17 are the best, 18 is okay, 19 is right next to the restrooms so you will be woken up by the parks cleaning crew everyday at 7am, campsites 20 and up are in the middle with #20 being the best of that bunch. There are at least two potable water stations, a dishwashing station, and flushing toilets. The Cataloochee river runs right next to the campground and it is gorgeous. Noteworthy, the drive in is narrow, gravel, and offers no protection in the form of guardrails. There is no dependable cellular service in the valley.
