Surrounded by woods but only about a mile from town, Heirloom Hamlet is a nice little camping hideaway. Curt was particularly kind and helpful when we showed up to tent camp on a rainy night. They have a composting toilet and solar powered electric, so the whole operation is very eco-friendly. The nearby town of Ridgeland had some great Mexican food at the nearby Minisuper and Restaurante del Pueblo. I don't know if there are attractions nearby but it looks like they do small classes or other group events in their little exercise house.
