My wife and I took a spontaneous trip to northeastern Georgia to visit Dahlonega, Blood Mountain on the Appalachian trail, and surrounding areas. We had planned to stay at Kennedy Creek at a no electricity lot where we would set up a tent. However, the weather turned bad, it was forecasted to rain a lot, and temperatures were dropping. We asked the staff if we could upgrade our stay to a yurt and were very quickly and very kindly accommodated. Though the weather outside was cold and rainy we were warm, comfortable, and dry inside the yurt. The facilities were nice and speaking with the staff and other guests made us feel at home with other hikers and travelers. I cannot say enough good things about our stay! We will be back!
