Cute, cozy, more secluded than other options, but not in a "cabin in the woods" sort of way.

This cabin is built into the side of a hill and is surrounded by nature in all its glory. A two level porch overlooks creek which is just loud enough to lull you to sleep at night.

Single lane gravel road makes a delightful crunch as you travel up the hill all the while along side the creek that eventually takes you "home". See if you can find the ruins of a damn that used to bypass water for a mill long lost to time. People are friendly and always wave in passing. Owners take care of the cabin, and since I have been staying there, have consistently made upgrades to keep you comfortable without compromising the rustic coziness.

My favorite time of year is the fall, windows open during the day, and a warm fire at night.

Blue Ridge has a lot to offer you too, if you decide to leave the cabin that is.
