We booked this cabin for Valentines day. We have been quarantined for almost a year rarely going out and our family of 3 needed to get a change of scenery. We were very excited to get away. Our main items we wanted was a wood burning fireplace and a game room. We have an 11 year old daughter who was super excited.

We hiked the day of arrival and knowing it was about 25-30 minutes from the nearest stores we had gotten everything we needed ahead of time. We arrived to the cabin about 10 minutes early so we looked around the outside and we saw no firewood. It said it was by a georgia bulldog sign but there was no such sign and the wood holder was empty. We got into the house thinking maybe it was stored inside. No wood there either. This was so super frustrating. Now my husband had to drive back out after a long day 30 minutes to try to find firewood.

Once i started looking around i saw the couch from the kitchen had something splattered all over it I went to clean it up and realized we had a half a roll of paper towels with no back up. So i started to check the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms - there was toilet paper on the holders but no back up. The bed in my daughters room had dog hairs on the pillow and the comforter. The table had food hardened on it in the kitchen. I cleaned these things up and once wad made dinner also found many dirty dishes that had pieces of food on them. This was really upsetting as i was questioning how well the cleaning of the cabin was done.

Once we went to the game room which is another reason we booked this cabin we found they had one pool stick that was in ok shape the rest had no tips. We made do but again, this is why we booked this cabin and it added to the frustration of everything else.

The basement stairs are short so be careful on those for sure. The carpet and ceiling tiles are a bit stained from water damage. It is a nice property very secluded with the firepit, although there was no wood. I think if it was cleaned and stocked well. i would of given it a 4. It was also frustrating that we tried to contact the person at Vacasa and she is not in Mon and Tues and wifi is spotty so we could not get ahold of anyone. I have emailed her now that we are home but still no response.

I have left a review over a week ago and see there are no reviews after 2020 on the site. Nobody has contacted me after i filled out their survey so I am even more annoyed that I have not received an email or call regarding the issues we had.

I would be careful with this property. I think its a nice secluded place. The grill is nice. Once we got wood the fireplace was great inside and perfect setting for smores but make sure it is cleaned and stocked before attempting to stay.
