If you're in search of an authentic camping experience, look no further than Woodruff Scout Camp! The site does an excellent job with signage—clear and easy to follow, making sure you're never lost in the wilderness.
But speaking of navigation, a word of caution when driving around the camp. The roads can be a bit narrow and winding, so it's best to take it slow and watch for other cars and pedestrians, specially small pedestrians.
One of the highlights here is the commitment to an authentic natural experience. There's very limited artificial lighting, which adds to the rustic charm. That said, you'll definitely want to pack some lamps or flashlights to navigate after dark.
When it comes to amenities, the showers are quite functional but are truly one with nature—literally. If you plan on showering, I highly recommend bringing sandals as you'll be sharing the floor with some of nature's smaller inhabitants!
And lastly, but most importantly, please remember to follow the "Leave No Trace" philosophy. It's such a beautiful spot; let's keep it that way for future campers to enjoy.
