Very nice place to camp. The campsite is surrounded by beautiful ponderosa forest for miles! We were the only campers. Miles and miles of fantastic beginner-intermediate mountain biking trails that can even be ridden at night are right by the campsite! But BEWARE! We had an aggressive bear rip our campsite apart on the third night. He harassed us until early the next morning! Very scary. We called the rangers to post a warning sign. The bear attacked all our water supply we had left out (7gallons thick plastic water jug...bit clean through! ). He also attacked our bikes with damage to $100. Also damaged other camping gear. We had secured all the food inside our vehicle...but he came anyway! Who guessed that a bear would go after water and a bike! He also climbed way (12 feet) up the tree to pull down our garbage! He came into the campsite 4X! Noise (pots and pans and loads shouts) would not deter him. Be careful!
