This has been my favorite hot springs for years and was disappointed it is kid friendly now. That is NOT because I’m a prude, that is because I come here to relax and enjoy the quiet. As the day went on more and more people brought their little kids ranging anywhere from diaper age to about twelve or so. That’s totally their personal choice and that’s fine, if you don’t mind your kid around people who have Apple Watches that can take photos (yes, there were some there) that’s not my choice to make. But what sucks about that is it’s pretty hard to enjoy the quiet sounds of nature when you can hear kids playing around and yelling near you. It used to allow kids in the closed pool, it would be nice for them to go back to that. Again, it wasn’t about the nudity for me, I love to go nude and prefer it. But what I don’t do is enjoy listening to loud children when there is literally a kid friendly pool option five minutes away. There is a fun range you can hear and bothered me waaayy less than the high pitched sounds of toddlers. 🙄 Aside from that, it was as great as it always has been. Multiple pools of varying temps and types, a pleasant sauna (albeit small), and great places to relax in the grass and stay all day. I recommend a robe when it’s chilly and be careful when there isn’t sun because despite the sand they put down it gets slick! It has gorgeous views and despite the kids, it was a lovely time.
