Ken's Lake Campground is a beautiful wide open campground in the gorgeous Spanish Valley, with amazing red rock canyons North/North East and South, and the stunning high peaks of the La Salle mountain range in the East backdrop (snow-capped for early Spring campers; overnight Temps were down to 25F for the first week of April). The 48 campgrounds were well maintained, with some fairly secluded and others out in the open, with ZERO light pollution for eye-popping star gazing. All campgrounds have huge metal fire rings with attached grills. Bring your own firewood because there is none available at the campgrounds. The sound of Faux Falls and the creek running into Ken's Lake was very relaxing, and makes for a good night's sleep. The bathrooms were very clean and didn't smell. Ken's Lake and the hiking trails around it to Faux Falls is beautiful. Drive the road North a mile, from the campgrounds, to the Entrajo Canyons and see 2 more waterfalls, Park at the lookout point over the campgrounds and Spanish Valley, with a picturesque view of Ken's Lake as well. Bring paddleboards, canoes, ALL off-road and 4x4 vehicles, kites, drones, rock climbing, hiking gear, etc. There is plenty to do! Bring your pets if you like. They will enjoy the trails and vast openness of the Spanish Valley.
