We started this mountain at about 1:30am to get a sunrise hike in with the ole GF. You guys know how it goes.
Anyways, we started and it was a bit wet and kinda cold maybe 50s since it was Aug 27th. We got up to newr the top around maybe about 4am and it was so cold she was freezing and we had to take a stop under some boulders to warm up and pull out the ole trust space blanket and heating pads to warm up for about an hour.
So anyways. After hudling under the wrong getting warmth we proceeded to go on closer to sunrise and we made the top.
It doesn't take to long to get to the top but just watch out for the cold and VERY Windy days like our day. Super easy hike and not so pretty on Shavano.
We failed to proceed for the other 14er across the way cause my gf didn't get to sleep the night before so she was exhausted. Definitely will come back and do a follow up review!
