Our family has spent years vacationing at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort - but recent changes (price, overcrowding, poor pool location choice) left us feeling like it was no longer worth it for us.
That is when I found Antero Hot Springs (we stayed in the Chalk Creek Chalet)! Just down the street, it provided an upgrade to the resort cabins.
First, the cabin was significantly larger (five queen beds in two bedrooms & walkout basement vs three queens in one bedroom & a loft).
Second, the living spaces where much nicer - there were three distinct places to read, games, talk, etc - and that doesn't even include the kitchen counter/bar.
Third, there were 2.5 bathrooms! The regular cabin at the resort has one. That is a luxury family and friends could not overstate.
Finally, having a private soaking pool was a godsend. The soaking pools at the resort have become so overcrowded that it is often hard to find a spot. That stinks when it is your primary reason for being there.
I cannot wait to see the renovated version. Writing this review was the second thing I did, right after I booked our next stay!
