We had a wonderful time at the 105 West Ranch. The accessibility from Denver made it the perfect getaway for the whole family (toddler and dog included). Aspen trees surround the tiny home and make for a rejuvenating setting. Views of southern Colorado on one end of the property stretch forever (seemingly to New Mexico), with inspiring site lines of Pikes Peak to the north. The entire area is lusher than many other places we have visited in Colorado this year.
Despite feeling a world away, some cool towns were deceptively nearby. We visited Victor (more extensive than expected) and Cripple Creek (a remarkably well-preserved mining town). We took a quick trip to see the Florissant petrified redwood stumps (a super underrated Colorado attraction). Finally, the Skaguay Reservoir (less than ten minutes away) was a fun spot for relaxing on the water with our Kokopelli packrafts.
We love the ranch and can't wait to go back.
