My wife and I are fairly new to the world of RVing. Purchased our travel trailer Memorial Day weekend and since then, we only have less than a hand full of trips under our belt. I was looking for an RV park to spend a week away this September and stumbled across Snowy Peaks RV Park in Buena Vista.

Since I was looking for a pull thru site, Snowy Peak had a few to choose from and after looking at site pictures, I upgraded to a premium pull-thru. To have the extra space, along with room to store both my truck and trailer together, I couldn’t go wrong. The price was reasonable as this was a full hook up site.

Day of arrival, the staff was super friendly as they showed us around the clubhouse. A staff member guided us to our site where we pulled in and to my amazement, the site was extremely flat and level and very well kept. This made for disconnecting from the truck and setting up very smooth and easy.

During our stay, the park itself was very clean. The restrooms were well maintained, and the laundry room was clean and tighty. As the staff members made their rounds throughout the day, they were always ready to wave and say hello. The nights were peaceful and quite even though the park seemed to be approximately ¾ quarters full.

During one of our daily walks, we discovered the area which allows for tent campers. This area is towards the back of the property but still within close proximity to the restrooms and pull-thru sites in which we will be. 😊

The location of the park was less than a 45-minute drive to Turquoise Lake and the town of Leadville.

After this experience, my wife and I will defiantly be returning next year, making this an annual retreat for us. We are looking forward to sharing this RV park with my parents, who also have a large fifth wheel and our adult children who still enjoy tent camping.

Thank you again to all the staff members and the owners of this beautiful property.
