We really liked the location to town and the spacious sites. There are a lot of ponderosa pines but also plenty of spots if you want a clear view to the sun for solar. I didn't use the vault toilets but members in our group told me they were clean. The wood we bought from the helpful host was actually dry and burned nicely which was a nice surprise as this usually is not our experience.
There is a 5 mile dedicated paved bike trail into town. It's uphill most of the way there. We managed it on our old tandem, pulling two toddlers.
It's very quiet here when you pick a site away from the road. We used the campground just up the road (for a small fee) to fill our fresh water tank and dump black/grey. There were working water spigots throughout the park but these cannot be used to fill RV tanks.
We rarely had AT&T or Verizon service in the campground but could usually pick it up just down the road. Would definitely stay here again.
