Came here for a little getaway on the 4th of July. It's hard to get away from the crowds because Colorado is so populous. But we were successful doing so here! Most people were kayaking, a few were camping, but we had a few different empty sites available to choose from. We had a barbecue at a pre-made barbecue pit. It was a few feet from the creek. It was beautiful and sunny even though it was raining and thunderstorms everywhere else. There is a vault bathroom however there was no toilet paper. So make sure to bring some of your own if that is a concern of yours. I would definitely love to come back here to camp or kayak or for another little barbecue. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the crowds.
