Staff was very friendly. Sites were clean. Bathrooms seemed typical for a koa. However, one thing that I absolutely can’t get over in the increase in price for a tent site since last time I was here (during Covid). We went from paying $29/site to $68/site for one night. The tent sites are so packed together, that as my husband joked ‘if someone were to rip a loud fart in their tent, all 8 tent sites around you would hear it’. Funny and sad at the same time. I think koa is a great intro to camping experience if you don’t know where else to go, however knowing what other sites are out there in the national forest, I just can’t see myself ever spending that much to stay at a koa ever again. It’s hard justify spending $140 for one weekend to be in a site surrounded so closely by other people and a paved parking lot.
